Morello’s are proud to announce another addition to the product range, “Jeffries Organic Compost”. Produced from recycled green organics through Jeffries state of the art facilities, it is certified to Australian Standard 4454, NASAA organic standard as well as being Fresh Care compliant. Containing a massive 48% organic carbon and made to the highest standards, it will improve the efficiency of soils, adding organic nutrients and helping to retain water and nutrients.

With over four generations of experience, Jeffries is the leader in composting and green organics recycling. Throughout this time, they’ve developed a suite of compost, soil and mulch products that can enhance any production system. The Jeffries “Organic Compost” helps to maximise crop yield, improve soil structure and increase water and fertiliser efficiency. Improved soil structure means improved plant root growth and less soil erosion. Jeffries products can also help to protect your crop from periods of stress due to temperature and moisture fluctuations, as well as assist in weed and disease suppression.

Case study trials of the Organic Compost in vineyards and vegetables have identified:

  • 25% increase in yield
  • Up to 50% decrease in soluble fertiliser
  • Decreased soil salinity
  • Improved soil health
  • Soil easier to cultivate
  • Substantial water savings

It was also found that the soil colour changed, soil structure was visibly improved and soil tests before and after compost application showed improvements in soil organic carbon and organic matter levels.
